The Mobridge-Pollock School District is now accepting nominations for the 2018 Mary Ludeman TOY.  We want to encourage community members, parents, fellow teachers, principals, and students to make nominations of outstanding teachers in our district.
Please remember some of the following information when making nominations:

  • must be a certified teacher;
  • must have at least 3 full years of teaching experience;
  • must be planning to continue in an active teaching status;
  •  The goal of the TOY program is to recognize and honor the tremendous contributions of outstanding classroom teachers. Note: a classroom teacher is a person who has a class of his/her own and spends at least three or more hours per day, five days a week, for six or more calendar months during a school year in a classroom teaching students. School counselors, school psychologists, and school social workers are NOT eligible as per the South Dakota Department of Education.

Each District Teacher of the Year becomes a nominee for his or her district’s Regional Teacher of the Year Award.  This is a great honor for the teacher that is participating along with the school district and community.  Teachers being recognized for developing a learning culture in the classroom encourages all of us to be at our best each day.

Please take time to nominate an outstanding teacher.

Please go to 2018 Mary Ludeman Teacher of the Year  to complete the nomination form.

All nomination forms can be sent to Tim Frederick, Superintendent of Schools, 1107 1st Avenue East, Mobridge, SD or they can be emailed to tim.frederick@k12.sd.us
